- To understand the importance of the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy combined with microfracture technique in the treatment of cartilage lesions.
- To explain how microfracture treatment works on a cartilage lesion and how hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy facilitates the process, and the histologic aspects of the cartilage healing.
- Understand the development and limitations of the currently published CNS Oxygen Toxicity limits.
- Discuss the NASA NBL Data and how it conflicts with published limits.
- To understand the use to TcPO2 in patient selection of lower extremity wounds for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- To understand the use of in-chamber TcPO2 in determining optimal treatment pressure for a lower extremity wound undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
