Reduction of peak expiratory flow after a 5-meter dive with extreme exertion

Objectives:
  1. To understand the potential role of hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
  2. To understand the limitations of the preliminary study published by Gorenstein et al.
  3. To gain understanding on why, and how, physically exhausting scuba dives may affect the respiratory system. 
  4. To examine with a well-designed experiment, whether the spirometric flow indices directly after surfacing differ from those pre-dive. 
  5. To understand why not all parameters of the spirogram will be affected in the same way.

Goal
